Mission Point Lighthouse
This beautiful little lighthouse out at the end of Mission Point Peninsula is such a little treasure for Northern Michigan. The lighthouse is a wonderful and historical place to visit where you can walk along the sandy beach of Lake Michigan or hike on one of the hiking trails on the peninsula.
Of course the drive out to the lighthouse is a treat all in itself with the clear blue waters of the Grand Traverse Bay on both sides. M37 has been considered one of the top 10 coastal drives in the USA. Along the way you will drive through cherry orchards and if it tickles your fancy you can also stop at on of the local wineries.
