Architectural photography is one of the areas in Photography that I really enjoy. I fond much beauty in the buildings designed by artist known as architects. What some architects design and have built are amazing pieces of art.
When I look to shoot an architectural shot many times I will look not to shoot the building but something in or of the building, to highlight certain aspects of the architecture.
In this image I'm inside the building looking down the open atrium of the Hyatt Regency at the Embarcadero in downtown San Francisco. This building has been one of my favorites for many years. A little less so since they closed the bar down that was at the top of the Hyatt. This bar rotated at the top of the building slowly. Over the course of an hour you would rotate 360 degrees getting views of the city that are just amazing.
