Bristle Cone Pine Abstract
This is a close-up image of a Bristle Cone Pine Tree captured near the tree line on Wheeler Peak at Great Basin National Park in Nevada.
I chose to shoot this close-up so as to highlight the amazing swirls, bends, twist, and other growth patterns that these trees produce over their thousands year lifetimes.
I just love the variations in color and the bizarre patterns that seem to defy convention.
