Description
Bar Harbor,
While on vacation recently I stopped at one of my old haunts.
Bar Harbor sits at the corner of State and Bay Street in the little village of Harbor Springs. Across from Bar Harbor is the New York restaurant and across the street from the New York is the Pier. At the fourth corner sits a parking lot.
Many a night after spending a few hours in one or maybe even all of these fine establishments a person might not be too surprised to see on of Harbor Springs finest parked in one of only a few cruisers this town owned. I'm sure it was in the best interest of public safety and to ensure that you made it home alright.
I always had the option of walking home as I only lived a few blocks away. In the winter this did create a challenge as it was up hill in the snow and ice but I survived.
The words we always hated to hear were, Last Call Bar Harbor.
