Description
Heading Out,
Some people think I'm crazy. On weekends and when I'm on vacation I sometimes get up earlier than I would during my normal work week. I love the quality of light in the early morning hours.
So there I was up on the north coast of California in the small city of Eureka. I woke up early so that I could go down and explore the waterfront of the outer reaches of Arcata Bay. While walking around enjoying the beautiful morning light and the still waters of the bay I captured this fishing boat heading out into the fog of the cool Pacific Ocean.

Bill, Same here when I sleep on my boat I am up earlier then a regular work day or vacation day just to get out to the ocean and enjoy the first glimpse of sunrises and the serene ocean
