Description
Lake Michigan Infrared
Recently I took a trip back home to the area that I grew up at in Northern Michigan. Besides all of the normal lake activities that one would expect on Lake Michigan, this area has another activity exclusive to this area. The search for Petoskey Stones.
My wife picked up on the hobby years ago on a previous visit and continues to this day. The rocks are elusive but can be found with some determination but it usually takes time.
This gave me the opportunity to shoot some long exposure infrared images that take anywhere from 7 to 15 minutes each. I really like how the sky blends into the water. And yes, my wife had a successful hunt.
