Description
Darwin Falls Vertical
Darwin Falls is a small gem of a waterfall that can be found running year around in Death Valley National Park. That's right, a waterfall in Death Valley.
From Panamint Springs head west on Hwy a90 for about a mile and look for a left turn off of the highway onto a dirt road. Follow that road a mile or two to the parking lot at the head of the trail. The hike back to the falls is a moderate 2 mile out and back hike. The trail is easy for the most part with a little rock scrambling required near the end of the trail.
We were fortunate to be able to spend some solitary time at the falls as one group left the area as we arrived.
This is a beautiful little waterfall. The hike is highly recommended but start early and bring plenty of water.
