I've only been Death Valley National Park a few times. After this trip I now plan on making this most likely a yearly trip.
After watching the jets fly through the Jedi Transition I drove down to Stovepipe Wells to grab some dinner.
After an early dinner I drove over to the Zabriskie Point overlook. I didn't see this area the first time I was in the valley because the parking lot and access road were closed.
The weather was almost perfect, temps were in the mid 80's but the winds were howling. I didn't have much time to spend here. I am already thinking about my next visit to this area of the park. Where I'm going to hike, the time of day I will be there, and where my best vantage point will be for another great photo op. During the spring, if there is enough rain, the wild flowers bloom. I missed this by a couple of weeks this year. I'll have to try late March next time.
