Description
Church Of The Immaculate Conception,
I try to get down to San Diego once or twice a year as I have family living there, including my daughter. One of my favorite areas in San Diego is Old Town San Diego.
There are many small stores, Mexican restaurants, historical old buildings and parks.
One of the old buildings that is very beautiful is the Church Of The Immaculate Conception. The cornerstone of this church was laid in 1868 and is said to represent the place where Saint Junipero Serra said his first Mass in California in 1769.
I was really taken in by the beautiful bright mural behind the alter.
