Description
Bridaveil Falls in Autumn.
Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite Valley is one of the most prominent falls in the park and usually the first major waterfall someone sees while entering the park. During the early spring and most of the summer Bridalveil Falls flows so hard that you can't get close to the base of the falls without getting soaked. Some people in the know actually wear rrain gear to get to the base of the falls.
This image was captured during the fall when all of the other waterfalls in the valley had already dried up. Bridalveil Falls is usually the last major fall to lose it's flow.
Here I hiked to the base of the falls and actually had to scramble a good distance up large rocks and boulders to get to this spot. In my opinion, well worth the effort.
