Matanuska River
I had always dreamed of traveling to Alaska and seeing the wilderness as I have never seen it before. After docking in Whittier from our cruise ship we boarded a train on the Alaskan Railway and headed north up to Denali National Park.
We passed through some of the most pristine and isolated wilderness areas along the way. Fortunately the train stopped at some of the most beautiful locations along the way. Here is an image I captured on the Matanuska. The wide river with the snow capped mountains in the distance was just an amazing sight. I wish I could have spent more time at this location.
