Crab Fleet Monochrome
I used to love to go over to San Francisco and enjoy parts of the city that I have never been to or to go to places that I have already been but wanted to go back at a different time of day.
That is the case when I captured this image. I went down to Fisherman's Wharf early one morning and just explored the area without the rush of the tourist that would be sure to show up in a couple of hours.
I walked around along the wharf and went looking for something different to capture. When I saw the crab fleet all lined up in the still water of the bay reflecting down into the deep water of San Francisco Bay I new I had found something special.
I have published a number of images from this little walk about but they were in color. I never really thought about taking a very colorful picture and creating a black and white image of it but that is exactly what I did here. It turns out that this may be my favorite version. I hope you like it as well.
