Tennessee State Capitol
The Tennessee State Capitol is located on Capitol Hill in Downtown Nashville, TN. The building is modled after Greek Revivial architecture. Nashville was known as the Athens of the South so many of the buildings share some traits of Greek architecture.
Construction began on this building in 1845 and was completed in 1859. IT was designed by the renowned architecture, William Strickland out of Philidelphia.
