F18 Down In The Jedi Transition

Sitting out by the Crowley Point overlook just outside of Death Valley waiting for the jets to come through certainly had me excited. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect as this was my first visit to Star Wars Canyon. I'm sure that many tourist were startled as the jets passed the overlook not being aware that this was somewhat common place for the area.
I have a few friends that have been down here a number of times now and from what I experienced and they told me is that you don't know when or if they will be flying.
This is not an air show. These are actual training runs where the pilots practice low altitude flying.
I feel that I was lucky as there were many flights the day I had visited and I was truly entertained by these skilled pilots.
