I first heard of the Jedi Transition, Star Wars Canyon, about 9 months ago and new right away that I would have to visit.
Just outside of Death Valley is an area that the US military has used as training grounds for our aviators for many, many years now. I really don't know that much of the history of this place but I do know that the unofficial name of Rainbow Canyon is quite fitting. The jets can really come from any direction but on this day most of them came in from the west and dropped down into the canyon. From my vantage point it was as if they were coming almost straight in. They then had to bank left revealing their undercarriage before they had to come around to the right exposing their canopy to all who were waiting.
Well worth the visit for anyone interested in fighter jets and flight.
