Denali Black & WHite
At this time in my life I really don't have a bucket list as such, but if I did, Denali was number one on that list. This is one incredible mountain. The mountains altitude at 20, 310 feet makes this mountain the tallest mountain in North America.
The ride up to Talkeetna was very pretty. Highway 3 follows the Susitna River up from Anchorage all of the way into Talkeetna and into Denali National Park. Along the way we spotted a few bald eagles and some dahl sheep.
We were told that we were in the lucky 1/3 of the people that actually get to see the mountain once they get to the park. The more common state of this mountain is complete cloud cover.
Even though I have now been to Denali I have decided to make it a point to spend at least a week in and around this park in a few years.
