Battery Point Lighthouse II
Battery Point Lighthouse sits on a small point at the southwest end of Crescent City in Del Norte County in Northern California. Between the small point and Crescent City is a small strip of land that depending on the height of the tide and time of day may or may not be passable. In my case, one foot was soaked from a misstep on the way back in.
This lighthouse, still in operation lit it's first oil lamp back on December 10, 1856. It wasn't until 1956 that the lighthouse became automated.
This image was captured part way down the hill/cliff that leads down to the ocean.
