How do you describe this beautiful area tucked into North Central Arizona not too far south of the Grand Canyon?
In this case, I think a picture speaks thousands of words. You could forever try to describe the beautiful rock formations but I'm not sure that words are adequate.
I have been especially blessed as both times now, that I have been to Sedona, I have had a canopy of clouds overhead creating a fantastic light interplay that is displayed on the face of these beautiful red cliffs of sandstone.
This image was captured in the vicinity of the Broken Arrow Trail. The broken area trail takes you out to Submarine Rock, The Hogs, Twin Buttes, the crimson curtain and other features.
I was able to catch this image as a storm threatened, as it continued for the afternoon.
