Golden Light in the Valley,
One of my favorite times of the year to drive through/around Napa Valley is during the fall season.
The grapes have been picked and the weather is cooling. The grape vines start shutting down, preparing them for the cold wet winter. As they do this the grape vines take on an amazing shade of yellow that just pops when the sun is hitting low in the sky.
I prefer to catch the morning light in the Napa Valley as the roads are much less busy than they are towards sun down. On top of that, there is a very good chance that the drivers of the cars on the road at that may have been out tasting the local product.
Either way though, Napa Valley is a true treasure that keeps on giving.
