Description
V8. I made this image while shooting a car show at one of the local wineries. I loved the shape of this hood as it reminded me of some science fiction show from the early years like Flash Gordon or something similar. The shape of the hood and the V8 emblem made it a must shot for me.
Then I noticed the clouds reflecting off the hood and just new I had to capture it.
I like the design shape of this hood as automobiles seemed to have so much more style than todays do. The tall rounded shape and the bright chrome, with the different lines both horizontal and vertical just seemed like design excellency.
I shot this as a black and white image in my mind as I wanted to isolate the shape and not the color of a normal automobile.
