Description
Yosemite National Park is very large and there are many places in the park that I could say are my favorite part of the park. This is one of those areas.
Driving up out of the valley on Highway 120 a few miles from the valley floor is a turn out for the Cascade Creek Fall. Most everyone that stops there get out of their car and walk across the highway and view the fall from as it cascades down off the mountain. Very few ever get out of their car and scamper down the rocks to capture the fall as it flows under the bridge. Even less hike down and around a corner where another split in the fall comes down the rocks.
This image captures the other fork of the river/creek.
This small branch of the creek comes down off the mountain, flows under a small bridge and then flows roughly 100 yards, as seen here, before dropping roughly another 800 feet to the valley floor.
