Thunderbirds In Formation II
The USAF Thunderbirds always thrill. Typically 4 jets fly in formation for most of the show while the 5th and 6th jet fly in and out of the show, often coming in from the backside to a totally startled audience.
These pilots are the best of the best and they practice continuously. After a show they hold briefing so they can discuss the days performance. One small mistake can take out all 6 jets and countless spectators.
This image was captured as the main group flew past the main flight line, banking in to fly back behind the crowd.
