Description
Shooting sunsets along the Northern California Coast can be a real challange. Many times the low lying fog covers up the sun. This is more likely to happen during the warm summer months when you would like to spend time at the ocean. I caught this during the late spring. The afternoon was beautiful and the temperatures were in the mid 70's. My wife and I were down along the coast in Monterey.
My wife and I went out for dinner with plans to come back and shoot the sunset. We had a nice dinner and went back down to the beach. In the short time we were at the restaurant the temperature on the coast must have dropped 20 degrees.
My wife decided to stay in the car as I walked around looking for an image to compose. This is what I came up with.
