Redwood Dream
I captured this image one early morning in Muir Woods located in Marin County in the state of California. These trees have always amazed me with their height, beauty, and the resiliency to the environment around them.
When hiking through a redwood grove it's as if I can feel the ancient spirits of all things that lived in these groves over time. There is a special mysticism that can be felt as you walk around these trees and feel the soft bark of these giants.
So in trying to portray that feeling I used a technique that I like using a slow shutter speed. I let the camera catch the first few seconds as I normally would be keeping the camera still. After the first few seconds I pan the camera to give the image a slightly blurred look.
