Painted Ladies.
I have lived in and around San Francisco and the Bay Area for most of my life. I have been to San Francisco more times than I can remember but there are so many historical places that in the city that I have never visited.
At first I attributed this to the fact that I didn't really want to do the tourist thing. Then it was just the fact that for a long time I didn't really care for the city. I just wanted to spend time in the country, along the coast, up in the mountains, out at a lake, anywhere away from the hurried life of the city.
That all changed a few years ago. I'm not sure why but I realized that I live near one of the most beautiful cities in the world and that I should take advantage of all that it has to offer.
Of course this capture of the painted ladies up on Alamo Square is one of those places that I have always wanted to visit but never took the time.
