Description
Half Dome Spring.
Yosemite National Park is truly a national treasure. No picture taken or painting painted that can capture the true beauty and feeling that one has when first visiting this magnificent National Park.
As you drive into Yosemite and especially if you come in on Highway 120 you can't help but lay your eyes on Half Dome. Once you arrive in the valley and drive eastward up the river you came across Stoneman Bridge. From this bridge you can look up river and see a direct line to Half Dome.
This was captured on a warm spring day. There is still a small trace of snow on top of and on the face of Half Dome and the ground cover is still brown from not catching any sunlight over the last few months. Elsewhere in the valley the signs of spring are showing as the water is moving faster and the Dogwoods are blooming.
