Description
Gibbon Falls in Yellowstone National Park is a very beautiful waterfall that I could just sit by for hours. It's not the largest waterfall in the park but it just has a certain charm.
Just love sitting next to the falls listening to the water rush over the rocks trying to follow single drop down the fall. being almost hypnotized by the constant flow of water.
Part of the charm of this waterfall is that it is right next to the road in the western part of the park. The falls drop 84 feet from top to bottom and depending on how much walking a person is willing to do can be seen from the very top or further down the road with a view nearer the bottom and almost straight on.
This image is was purposely exposed as a black and white as I liked the form of the water and how it is draped over the rocks. A similar image due to lighting isn't really that far off from this image as the rocks are dark to begin with.
