Fishermans Memorial
This memorial sits on the south end of Woodley Island in Eureka California to memorialize fisherman that have been lost at sea. I had seen images of this memorial many times and wanted to see it when I took my trip up the West Coast.
Unfortunately I don't have much information on this statue. I found that it was sponsored by the Commercial Fisherman's Wives of Humboldt Bay and that it was dedicated in 1981.
I was lucky to catch it with this amazing light on an early morning just after sunrise in August.
