Eureka Boat Reflections,
I've always been drawn to the water. No matter where I go. If there is a water feature in the area I will most likely find it.
Along with water, boats have always fascinated me. It really doesn't matter what kind of boat. As a matter of fact, they don't even need to floating.
So, on a recent trip up the California Coast I found myself walking down by the outer reach of Arcata Bay and the Eureka Harbor. When I saw these boats I knew that I would spend a good part of the morning photographing them.
In this case the sun was coming up over the city and the fog was fighting for a lasting hold on the coast. The water was as calm as you would ever expect. I just loved how the light highlighted these boats against the dark fog.
