Bridalveil III.
Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite valley is one of many major waterfalls throughout Yosemite National Park. Although not as tall as Yosemite Falls this waterfall is probably my favorite for a number of reasons.
Less than a third as tall as Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls is generally the first major waterfall seen as you drive into the valley. One of the best vantage points for this fall is from the Tunnel View parking lot above the valley. From there you can see many of the key landmarks of Yosemite Valley.
Bridalveil Falls watershed seems to be larger than that of some of the other falls in the park therefore it tends to flow later into the summer seasons.
This image was captured on a warm winters day early in the morning. As the day progresses and the temperatures warm up the falls pick up speed. You can se the clouds starting to clear behind the walls and it gives the impression that it may be steaming but it is truly ice cold.
