Description
Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
This one needs a little story behind it. I drive out to Pt. Reyes National Seashore maybe a half dozen times each year. Most of the areas I go to are fairly accessible within what I call a short hike.
There are a number of places out at Pt. Reyes that I haven't been too and most of them require a good hike. On this day I went out to find a waterfall that flows down to the beach. After talking to the rangers at the information center I thought I had everything planned out properly. I hiked out to the beach and of course the trail went left and right. After all the time hiking and not paying much attention I falsely recalled that the trail that I wanted going off to the right. Well, that is where I went wrong. I hiked almost eight miles and never saw the waterfall before turning back. I did however enjoy an afternoon of hiking along the coast and took many photographs. This being one of them.
Some day soon I hope to get back out there and find that waterfall.
