Garden Of The Gods,
The Garden Of The Gods is a beautiful geological area just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In this image you will see a climber in a red shirt on the spine of the rock formation that is slightly left center of the image.
The Garden is a public park open and free to the public. This area shows geological evidence that this area has been visited as far back as 1300 years BC. There is also known connections with at least eight Native American tribes.
The land was purchased by Charles Perkins in 1879. Perkins had been encouraged to build his home on the land but he never did, preferring to leave it in it's natural state as much as possible. in 1909, after his death, the family fulfilled his wish and donated the land to the city of Colorado Springs.
Many wild animals have been known to either visit the park and or have made the park their home including bear, mountain lions, deer, hawks, eagles and many more.

Welcome. Thank you for taking your time to visit my galleries. I'm a photographer that makes his home in Northern California. I love getting out shooting the outstanding scenery that this area has to offer. I may be in Yosemite one weekend and the Napa wine country the next.
