The "Abstract Balcony".
One of the things I like to do is shoot architecture. The modern architecture's use of different materials and designs make some buildings a real treat.
One of my favorite buildings in San Francisco is the downtown Hyatt Regency down at the Embarcadero. This building holds a prominent position just a block from the Ferry Building.
One of the things that I like about this building is that it can look so different under different lighting conditions.
When I captured this image I was standing between The Embarcadero tower # 1 and the Hyatt Regency. The different shades of gray come from light reflecting off of other glass surfaces surrounding the Hyatt.
