Description
I find the city fascinating. There is always so much going on but at the same time there always seems to be a place to find solitude. I guess it all depends on what you are seeking.
For instance, if you walk through the financial district during the week between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm you will be surrounded by people in a hurry to get from here to there and places beyond. If you walk down through there on a Saturday night, say around 10:00 pm you may be the only person on the block. I really like these extremes in the city. Fast and slow, rich and poor, light and dark, theyre all over you dont really even need to look.
I was down in the heart of the city on a Saturday afternoon as my daughters wanted to shop downtown. As they looked at the mall and other shops I walked down to the financial district. On one block you have high-rises that reach for the heavens and on the next street you have Mission Street with the homeless and the hookers. In my eyes it was a wonderful afternoon in the city.
I loved the deep tones in this image and the bright reflections of the clouds blowing across the sky.
