Clouds Over the Valley
So many time I've gone to the valley. So many times I've seen a clear blue sky as I round the turn just before this turnout in the road. So many times I've pulled over here and taken pictures that are beautiful, yet they look just like everyone else's.
Rarely do I come around this corner and see something that looks like this. It's almost a given that you need to be here in the winter to see something like this. You have to have storm clouds moving through the valley. The clouds can't be to low or you really are just dealing with fog. There clouds wer low and dropping but I seemed to have arrived just in time.
There was a clear view to Half Dome and the clouds were starting to get hung up on Clouds Rest. If it wasn't for my 3 children sitting in the car and the drizzle starting to come down I might have stayed for another hour or two.
